160less

Post by Noops » Wed Mar 16, 2011 12:15 am

I have to say since loosing my licance in October it has been a horrid last few months for me and mine latley and many adjustments have had to be made all round which have hit me hard in many ways:roll:

One of the results, saddly amongst other things is the 160 is off to pastures new. To say I've enjoyed the whole Lotus experiance good and bad :( :thumbsup would be an understaitment and I'm greatfull for the time I spent behind the wheel and the folk I met on my travels its been worth hastle even loosing my licance ( what a story to tell your grand kids ... not to drive fast  )

Now that i'm comeing through the other side of my troubles and hopefully the hospital is also good to me and I get some proper health back here's hopeing after resitting my test hopefully later this year that once I get up and running you will approve of my new direction in car choice either a Westy Bussa or Cat of some kind poss lotus but fancy a compleat change:wink: I'm working bloody hard right now to make it not just an idea but reality.

Insurance is going to be a bummer for me in the begining so its just track stuff I'm going to be doing so with Mags Jeep and a trailer watch this space . :thumbsup

Cheers

Neil,

Condolences on the loss of a good friend.

Congratulations for planning the way ahead, a total change is a cracking idea. Why not.

Sorry to hear that mother nature has been letting you down on the health front.

Good S1s appear on the market from time to time and you know full well that if you need one inspected, the army of experience is here to assist. Although you'd probably know a good one from a bad yourself, at a first sniff!

Neil,

Sorry to hear it mate, but probably a very wise decision for now. Health is the most important thing, so take care of yourself then use that new car as a wee target to hit :thumbsup

Westy/Cat sounds like a great idea if it's to be trailered for a while - KH, Kames and Ingleston are great fun in one of them - if you're ever coming over to Kames, you know fine well there's a bed here for you and Mags anytime 8)

Sorry to hear the 160 is gone. Thinking about Neil and Mags and not the 160 does not seem right.

As you say though, gives you the opportunity to try something different in the future. The research on that can start now - if not already

good to hear your getting through it okay mate.

Best of luck with everything.

Think the first time i met you was possibly just after you got it at Lawrences as we were looking at an erratic idle issue or something. Eitherway, a long time ago :D

Look forward to seeing the new chariot soon :cheers

Neil, sorry to here she's gone, I still remember the day I sold you it (and the Blue S1 in 2002 too for that matter.... :thumbsup ). But health is much more important - a car's a car......!

Keep me posted.

There is a great disturbance in the SE Force

You've been through the wars a bit recently Neil: sincerely hope good times are on the horizon...!

Plenty happy memories of struggling to keep up with the black bombshell. (mostly when Mags was driving :damnfunny )

Don't worry; whatever you buy next, I promise to reverse into it
