Any upcoming S.E. tours for the newbie?

Post by CJB » Thu Jan 27, 2011 7:09 pm

Hi guys and gals

Thanks for your messages of welcome into the fold.

I'm playing catch-up here so could I be a real green newbie and ask if it is the habit of the S.E. community to go on tours? Weekend, Scottish, European etc, you know what I mean, a Lotus convoy heading into the sunset... 8)

If this is already something you all do then feel free to groan at the newbie and point me in the direction of the signing-up sheet, I need to plan my hols, had enough of the winter blues and trickle chargers!

:cheers

Just keep your eye on the Meets section. TBH, not much will happen until March, Knockhill might be your first chance to meet a few of the guys and girls as most of the publicised dates, minus the hot hatch sessions, will have a few Loti in attendance. Friendly bunch, just make sure you go and introduce yourself! :thumbsup

otherwise a quick trawl of the meets section will show you that there is usually some kind of event/run/night out organised most weekends.

We'll be going camping, at least a couple of times, this year.

I am forming an idea for something just ahead of the Easter rush, but nothing certain yet.

Stay tuned :-)

PS - when I say camping, I mean scouting out some cracking roads that just happen to lead to a cute wee campsite usually near a beach. The tents are just a means of allowing us to go further in one day than we otherwise could!

Gairloch

Clachtoll

I have been trying to choose between them for a few days and cannot yet make up my mind which to target for a spring Campaganza :-)

Sounds like there are plenty of takers :thumbsup

Just one thing Campbell, best to choose the roads wisely for the Exige-boys because chiropractors are in short supply on Machrihanish

Yeah, the camping part serves no other purpose and is no fun whatsoever. ;)

I'm in. No excuses! :thumbsup

Call that a suit Craig.

Groupon are doing these sleeping bag suits today for £33 as opposed to £90. Might buy one.
