After a number of years I'm now back in the market for an S2 Elise so if anybody is looking to sell or knows somebody who is selling I would be interested, my budget is around the £10K mark. I look forward to replies my email address is
mike@telferton.co.uk. I'm currently looking at a Racetech 2001 asking price £10.5K on Pistonheads has a broken speedo and 5 previous owners any advice would be welcome.

Hi Mike ... long time no see!
I don't have a car for you to buy - not that much to choose from on PH either by the looks of it. I don't see the exact car you're talking about ... can you post a link?
Best of luck!
Cheers,
Robin

Good news Mike, about time you came back to the fold.
Maybe we should work on Iain Thomas and get back the Tut Towers Motorhome team.

Broken speedo could be an expensive fix - how long has it been goosed so how accurate is the current mileage?

,and if you end up having to buy a new speedo and revert back to 0 miles buyers are likely to be suspicious of mileage at time of any future sale.

Thanks, I know I've been hiding until the day arrived I was given permission to buy another one. This is the link on Pistonheads
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2368208.htm. A Robert Hunter has responded as he's looking to sell his 2002 S2.

Likewise Mike, I've gotten to know Rob over the past few years and have helped with looking after the car between services in a mini spanner & sponge way.
Good to hear your getting back into the fold - hope we can come away from KH with epic stories like the old days

Good luck finding a Elise Mike. It would be great to catch up again, and talk Lotus.

Welcome back Mike, now is the time to buy, before the Elise silly season starts, so you should have a bit of choice!

Mike, if we were in the market for an S2, we'd be looking closely at Rob's (RDH's) as well
Looking forward to watching your search, and to seeing the result in the ARCO car park very soon!
