SE Calendars - Have all been posted now - Friday 10th Dec

Post by Karen » Sun Dec 05, 2010 9:49 pm

Evening All

Just back from my hols today and as I mentioned previously, the calendars wouldn't be posted until early December when I returned from lying in the glorious caribbean sunshine! (Boy am I so glad I missed all that snow however we have returned to find, like everyone else, that the back roads to anywhere are a nightmare - my local post office included)!!

I am going to attempt to post the calendars in batches this week so you should all have them by next week however from what I have heard today, Royal Mail hasn't been able to get out and about much in the last week so I will see if they have huge back logs and may/may not hold on to them for a few days to ensure that they aren't given worse treatment than they normally get

Once I have posted them all out, I'll update you that they have all gone so that you can sit and watch your letterboxes and catch the envelope(s) before they go smashing on your hall floors!

Going by the snow falling in the East coast today, it may be December 31st 2011 before they get there!

Re: SE Calendars - Started to post in small batches now!

I have started to post the calendars in small batches - as many as I can carry on foot to the post office since the car is stuck in at the house! Hopefully by early next week they should all have been posted out to you.

Fine job Karen, and no rush, they are only going lie around in Delivery Offices while the backlog is cleared anyway!

Well done for your efforts but don't put yourself out as they are only going to be delivered through the door once deliveries get back to normal.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your comments. Whilst on holiday last week, Derek kindly reminded me that I had this task to deal with when we returned home! At no point did I realise that they would be delivered to Royal Mail in a sack that Santa Claus would then use a few weeks later. I much prefer driving them to the post office :D

At last! Someone has got their calendar!!! So glad to hear after the hours I spent in the post office in Dunfermline posting them this week - getting them posted was more important than trying to sell any houses! For those in Kirkcaldy, they'll be through your letterboxes tomorrow (Saturday 11th) weather permitting!
