If I was gonna be jacking a few £G`s worth of GT3 i would be investing in a decent jack and not using worktop Rich!

Machine Mart have a 110mm jack for about £35. A 135mm jack will never fit under an Elise, standard ride height is 130mm and less on a 135R so either your jack is lower or your ride height is on the high side. I have the 110mm one and it just fits with enough room for a bit of wood on the seat to protect the chassis.

Problem with the pikey bits of wood is that when you forget that your jack is just out of sight and turn into it, it leaves a big scrape in the sill paintwork

(Fortunatly out of sight underneith)

I don't actually use wood with mine, just a bit of folded up thick cardboard. Does the same job without any damage risk like you say

Theres no damage risk unless you drive into it afterwards
The only significant risk was the twat doing the driving keen to see if his spongey brakes were fixed. (Which they were)

Nice jack, soooo low
Thanks Si your comments are noted, checked the jack 132mm, however as the car handled KH well enough for my limited ability and the geo was set to factory I guess my car must have been scaled up!!!!!!
Anyway I ain't got the skill for a few mm of ride height to make any difference and if I lower the ride height I'd have to buy a new jack, see initial comment, doh.

Strange, cos people tend to struggle to get jacks to fit under Elises, that's why the machine mart one is good, low and cheap

Would be interesting to see your car alongside another 135R or mine. 111Rs ride slightly higher I think, it certainly looks a bit higher from the gap between tyre and wheel arch.

Wouldn't have thought there'd be a great deal in it

Compared to the K series S2s the 111R is visibly higher. I parked next to Mr Momo on a run earlier in the year and was surprised at the difference in height.
