Tut, remember this ...

All the rest of the pictures are here:
Stevio2001's albums
BTW, be careful what else on the page you click - there's a lot of dodgy anti-spyware/anti-virus scams on there (not a problem for us Linux users)
Alan (Gourlay83) et al, take note that Tut has been employing the volunteer services of others to replace his wishbones for a long time
Cheers,
Robin
P.S. I'm not 100% sure who took these - I'm thinking it might have been Jane, but she's in a few of the other pictures, as are most of the other reprobates

Yes, it's "toe-link cafe" where we had about 5 cokes/coffees waiting for Stevie & Walshy to bring up the toe links and parts.
It's from the Stelvio 2004 trip.
Tut, John Donaldson and myself were on this, but were busy rescuing Lucky Gerald from a broken clutch and two transit vans of aggrevated pimps and whores down in Avignon when this photo was taken.
The people are, starting right most and going around anti-clockwise:
Tony Churly (back view)
Allan & Debbie Staples (faces)
Nico & Rob Earle
Chris King
I'm afraid I don't recognise the man in the yellow and the lady in the green jacket.
I'm guessing Jane Churly took the picture.
Happy days!
Cheers,
Robin

Do they have WiFi in hospital?

Sure do Robin, happy memories. Was that taken at the Hotel, when the local garage owner came along in his 2CV and took it away to press in a new wheel bearing?

I did a self stomach pump at 70mph on the M9 at 1am. that probably limited the most of the damage. the side of the KA is looking a bit second hand though

We all get older - I just don't care as much as some

I hope to come across more pictures 10 years from now, and no doubt I'll look even older/fatter in those, inshallah.
If you can take the time to look through all the pictures on that collection, you'll see a lot of younger looking people - Tut included!! Unfortunately the 99 collection of pictures is quite small (presumably still real photographs on film in those days), so not so many faces in there that you'll recognize ... other than Tony & Jane of course.
BTW, I got in touch with Tony (Hi Tony, if you're still reading here from time to time) and he confirms that they are Jane's pictures - thanks go to Jane for taking them and putting them online for me to stumble across 10 years later whilst trying to dig up some old Stelvio route information - I spent a good few hours wading through those and it brought back loads of great memories (there's a couple of Greg Blackband in there, and at least a few of Gil's car, if not Gil himself). I also came across Gil's diary of the 2001 trip

With Stelvio then as FF now - SE in the thick of the action in the cars and the bars

Long may it continue!
Cheers,
Robin

Stelvio 2001 was one of (if not *the*) best holidays of my life...
Between the company / roads / drinking, it was absolutely awesome...Within 6 months of returning, I'd sold my Scooby STi, and bought an Elise...
Still in touch with Rob Groom, but he's gone all sensible - Married a G.P. and became a father earlier this year...Still has his S1 111S, and still doesn't ever take the roof off...
Happy memories...

Tut has been around a while and suspected I was not the first to get hold of his wishbone.

Don't think anyone will ever forget 2001. 2004 was only a small S_E contingent but still a brilliant and hilarious two weeks.

It's true - 2001 was epic - my worst hangover and my worst crash all in less than a week

Not to mention what happened in New York at the same time ...
Tut, did you find the picture of you lying on the pavement/street doing something or other to N1TUT? I wasn't sure if the (presumably) passers by were more bemused by (a) a pensioner lying on the floor fixing an elise, (b) you appear to be too poor to buy socks and shoes despite owning such a sports car, (c) the unwelcome view up your shorts
Cheers,
Robin
