Summer Run Recommendations

I thought this might be a useful thread to encourage Loti driving for when the sun shines this summer
Fort William to Mallaig (West Coasters)
Dalwhinnie to Mallaig (East Coasters get an extra 40 miles of quiet twisties)
This is a great, quiet road with stunning scenery and beaches. There were roadworks on many parts of this road for a few years but this has been completed and the result is great. Lots of sweeping 3rd/4th/5th gear bends and a smooth road surface with plenty overtaking opportunities. You can go up and back the same way or take a ferry from Mallaig to Skye for the long way back.
Be sure to take the coastal road from Arisaig to Morar and stop at Camusdarach beach. Amazing white sand and clear water.
My recommended refreshment stops are:
Glenfinnan House Hotel, Glenfinnan
Coffee Shop, Arisaig
Clachan Inn, Mallaig
I normally wild camp but have also stayed at the Glenfinnan House Hotel (£££) and the West Highland Hotel in Mallaig (££) and would recommend both.
