I may have gone too far, I de-catted the Elise Parts exhaust. Sounds great, not sure the residents of Dundee will agree tho. It is UNBELIEVABLY LOUD! Maybe a bit chav!?

Yep, it's too loud. Even with a sports cat it's too loud. That's why I swapped it with you :-) Your exhaust sounds great on my car too!

Cheers,
Robin

Aw it sounds great w the cat on, but thought I fancied a bit more punch tho, an at the same time prolong the life of the CAT. But it's not so much of a punch as serious GBH! :) I'll see how I get on with it, if I keep the revs down (heh) then its only a little noisier than w the CAT on.

The difference with the elise is, it looks like it should be that load.. its not a bolt on botch job body kit wearing shopping trolley.

So no. You will never be accused of being a chav by anyone on here. Just go easy on the furry dice and bonnet stripes :D

Not sure the cat will last longer on the bench exposed to moisture than it will inline ... you should keep it in the airing cabinet (preferably with the boiler on!) until it's perfecly dry, then vacuum pack it until you need it again (or just keep it in the airing cabinet forever).

Gareth - you'll need a lambda faker to fit a CRP to your car as it has lambdas pre- and post- cat.

Cheers,
Robin

Re: loud exhaust... erm, I've got used to it already, it's cool! Drove to Glasgow on Friday night and arrived with only a mild headache - nice :thumbsup
