Surprised to see a black Audi TT on the A68 today (wasn't going my way), in a hurry, sirens going, blue lights behind the grill and a large blue light on roof just above the windscreen. Suspect that big light is smoked to match the body work it's when off.
Addition to the silver Merc that Lothian & Borders have down here?

Passed an Audi A3 (may have been an S3) on my way home last night with full police colours, not a bad choice of car!

The police should be supporting the british car making industry not buying fancy german cars...we might still have a car making industry if they did. It would be great if all the police had to drive around in were k-series powered mg rovers. It would be easy to out run them anyway and it would keep alot of people in work repairing them all.

That crossed my mind too.
Or some organs going to a new owner (there have been a few bikers on the road recently, and it has been raining hard at times).

My old boss down south (Consultant anaesthetist) had hidden blues on his s3.
Doctors doing pre-hospital stuff get a basic magnetic police squad jobbie but can upgrade to whatever fancy system they want.
Just depends how much you want to spend....and how big a cock you are

Damn right - see this months Evo for a shortie on this subject. If the state has no faith in British products (read cars made in this country) who does?
