TG, such a lot of bollocks but it is entertaining!
The Exige really doesn't suit the body coloured splitter and side pods but it looks nice in white
I hope Ed was taking note that even Clarkson thinks the queens award stickers are rubbish

I saw an blue Exige S (poss azure?) in Newcastle a few weeks ago, it looked great with the side pods & splitter matching.
I agree on the queen's stickers thou.. not in the character of the car, they look like they belong on the back of a dark green range rover.

Maybe it's just the white then, haven't seen it in any other colour like that but it was just too much white for me.

The white was very nice - i liked the normal exige that MMC had a few months ago in white better with the black bits though. Anyway, i vowed never to buy a white car again after 2 in a row
I never knew what the gold e script was for before, but i have to agree, it looks gash on a lotus.

I didn't think the review of the S did it justice - no back to back comparison with a standard car. WTF was the deal racing it -v- a Mustang? The thing weighs 4 times as much as we all know, and conspicuous by its absence was any mention of the 'stang's pricetag... was that not only a slower car, but possibly a cheaper one than the S?
IMHO, a comparison -v- a track biased car would have been far more appropriate, showing the pros and cons. Heck, I'm a lotus fan, but after that test I'm none the wiser as to where the extra money of the S goes, apart from 2 secs improvement over the TG track (and that was in the dry -v- the wet too!)
As for the amphibious cars - wouldn't it be better to just have clarkson, hammond & May spend the first ten minutes of the show throwing custard pies at each other? the slapstick nature of the new series seems to be more about them laughing at each other than anything else... Looks like the mighty car -v- trains/planes will have bitten the dust with Clarkson's body falling to bits, which is a shame.

It's Top Gear, if you want a proper review look elsewhere (though you're not gonna get one anywhere else on TV).
If you want some car related entertainment, watch it
