To save me re-typing a quick copy n paste from TRS, we were out on a run in Stirling and Perthshire.
Home in several pieces. Bit of a strange end to the day.
First off thanks to Chris for all the recce'ing, arranging etc. Food was good if a little relaxed in service. Had a bit of a 'mare in the wet as expected but not as bad as I thought it might be and managed to keep a good pace in the drier bits.
Finally seemed to be drying out completely down the side of Loch Tay when a suicidal deer put a premature end to my day.
It darted out from the trees at full pelt only a few feet in front of me, was on the brakes by the time I hit it but was never a hope in hell of me avoiding it, so slammed into it head on sending it 50 feet into the air and several hundred feet down the road. Rather surreal experience seeing it accelerate away from me. Just as well no one was coming in the opposite direction as it landed in the middle of the road.
Damage doesnt look too bad. Clamshell, lights and radiator are mangled. Apart from that hopefully be repaired ASAP, speak to insurance on Monday.
I think a passing Landrover scooped up the rest of the deer, nice bit of venison for someone.
Pics up later
Ps, I feel I have now joined a special club as my Lotus is now held together with duct tape
