Evora at MMC tomorrow - could be black

Post by Shug » Fri Mar 27, 2009 10:18 am

Just got an email from our favourite short-arsed Lotus salesman to check on interest for the Evora at MMC at the weekend. He thinks it's going to be Phantom Black - the one featured in Winding Road...

Anyway, thread here - http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... =8&t=19850 - looks like we might get a little social meet out of it. And we can drink all of Graeme's coffee, which is always a bonus

Coffee, yes, comission, no.

Although I may have a chat with him about that....

Thought it might appeal to some who don't trawl through all the forums. :thumbsup

I take it's only there Saturday and Sunday? If i was in the area i would certainly drop by for a nosey, but a bit of a trek from Aberdeen considering i'd have no intention of buying one!

Bit of a trek for me also so have agreed to go to Ikea with the missus only problem?

means I cant take Loti as nothing of what she wants fits in the car. LOL

So if any one sees a black STI or silver S3 thats me.

Hoping to look in and see the Evora in the flesh so to speak on the way back from Knockhill ~think a few others are planning that too

Well worth popping along for a look if you're an Evora sceptic as I used to be.

I was down at Hethel during the week and the car is very, very nice in the flesh. Still not convinced about spending £60k on one but it's a really nice car all the same, inside and out. Boot space was the only major shortfall that I could see.

There was a real sense of optimism about the Evora and the guys at Hethel are itching for the press to get their hands on them. They know it's good. I heard a good story about an Exige S PP struggling to keep pace with one on the open road 8)

Popped in this morning with Eve. The car looked great in Chrome Orange and Eve was able to sit in the back no problem (similar to a mini for rear leg room).

I think it looked much better in the flesh than pictures I've seen, the only negative was that some of the fit and finish was poor but I believe this is a prototype so may be expected. Graham was saying that the press het the car in April so it will be interesting to see how they compare it to the Caymen etc.

Based on what I saw it would definately make my shortlist for a more 'grown up' sports car.. :thumbsup

Its good enough to show.

Chrome orange and looks the biz. Managed to fit 4 * 6ft SEers in there, granted it was not built for us in the back but we could fit, think 911.

Good to see everyone.

Graham was making it clear the the car was a pre production protortype <SP?
It still looked stunning and the more you looked at it the more details you picked up you missed the first time you saw it love the integration of the Interior door vent with the door handle, the name in the side repeaters and the way the rear flanks roof and hatch blend together
