Changing the rear pads today and found neither tailpipe was still connected to the back box
What's the feeling on the best after market exhausts out there? Not looking for something crazy loud but wouldn't mind a little bit more rip...

Larini (quietish but loud enough when you boot it) or Eliseparts (LOUD!)

Try Jim Valentine, I'm sure he can do something suitable and he's local.

I've heard bad things about the finish quality of Larini and also their customer service is supposed to be a bit suspect... Maybe just an isolated incident though?

Hey Gareth is it the Club Sport you bought for the S2? Any chance I could pop round for a look?

I've just got the Club sport for my S1. Has been a bit of a trial, build
ok, sounds good(will be even better with decat). Unfortunately the tail pipes
were squint, which as I told them, and it took a trip to the factory for them to confirm it, they're jig was out of shape. should be getting my "straight" system in a week.
I've some pictures of a squint one if you like???

Mine is the Larini, think I had the/one of the first S2 club sports in Scotland and it fitted fine. You don't need any diagrams, just the right size spanners/sockets (can't remember what size that is). There's only 3 bolts onto the CAT from the rear section and 2 bolts on each of the 2 mounts. You also need to undo 2 bolts at the other end of the CAT to get the std exhaust strap off.
Easy job

Dont forget a big hammer and a Hamish for the rusted solid nuts

Cheers for the offer but bought one yesterday regardless so it doesn't really matter now
And thanks for the fitting tips - I've always got the grinder at hand anyway. I'm a strong believer in starting the grinding/hammering before the penetrating oil has had time to work...
Can you get gasket sets out of Halfrauds or is it a Lotus/Rover dealer part?
