Its an april 02 But im not convinced its a 111s

but it was a great price and im loving it! Have owned it for 60 hours and allready covered 1150, was an ace weekend!!
Some advice please, last Service was a A around 1 year and 6000miles ago. Its know sitting at 26,000 miles. Im going to get the geometry done after the service but which service should i go for? Im thinking B but maybe even C. Whats the price difference and which one should i go for

You don't really need a B 'till 45000 miles or 3 years. If you wanted, then you could go for a B now, on a time basis. The price difference depends entirely on where you take it!! Not sure about Murray's current prices, but you'll find useful info on the servicing here:

Out of interest, why don't you think it's a 111s?

Oh, and ffs, don't take it for a C unless you need to, or you don't like having any money!!!
(MMC charge around a grand for one)

Cheers for the info! Wont be taking her for a C!! Think ill take it for a B then, based on time. It was sold as an 111s and has the wheels and the round tail pipes but theres no decals and it didnt say anything about 111s on the V5. The guy insisted even after questioning that it is a 111s. So ill have to wait til one of you guys see/drive it to know for sure. Is there any alternative to MMC? in or around Edinburgh? Cheers, Ed

How technical are you? If it has a distributor cap in the engine bay, it's a standard car, if it's got coil pack distributorless ignition, it's a 111s.
The zorsts are a good clue though. Is it a sports exhaust? (ie - does it sound like a sports car or a food blender?

) If it's a sports zorst, then it still may be a standard car...
There are a few alternatives. I think Falkland performance in Glenrothes is well regarded - 01592 773677

The 111S has:
- nice 8-spoke wheels
- 3 piece diffuser
- round grill holes with small, round, peashooter exhausts
- a wee red rubber hose going into the zort on the right hand side behind the grill
- a lower rev limit when the engine is cold (never experienced this myself except in Walshy's car, no idea if std cars have it!)
- what Shug said

Alloy TB is standard across all S2s...
The only thing I cant see - could you get a shot looking straight down between the expansion bottle (orange fluid in it) and the intake pipe/throttle body? That would give a definitive answer about the ingnition system. Kinda looking onto the left end of the engine would be ideal
