S1 Sport 135 on ebay, anyone know this car?

Just browsing on ebay and noticed this:
S1 Sport 135 It's up at 10K although there is an (unnamed) reserve.
Pictures aren't the best unfortunately, but this is the sort of car I'm after, and it has the hardtop that I require. Does anyone know this car, or know of it at least? Can't find it listed anywhere else (Pistonheads/SELOC/AutoTrader).
Cheers,
Jamie

I dont know it, but I do remember seeing it advertised somewhere a few months ago when I was selling my S1 (Recognise the plate). If they have been trying to sell it since I saw it, that can only be a good bargaining tool.

Ah ha!! You've got the bug as badly as I do it seems.
I'm still nowhere nearer to getting a car

( impending wedding means I'm having to review my spending priorities ). Oh well. Maybe once I'm middle aged I can get one

. or not. Still got my fingers crossed so you never know

.
Anyway, good luck finding a car, and see you at KH sometime soon

There's another Sport 135 for sale on seloc:

Probably a bit of a trek and it's almost double the mileage but it's a known car so there'll be plenty info on it.

Hi remember emailing this guy a few months back. I think it was on Pistonheads around Chtistmas time. I can't find the response but remember asking why it didn't have the correct steering wheel - it should be red & black alcantara. Why it didn't have the appropriate 135 decal in front of the rear wheels. I also questioned if the wheels are correct. The 2nd bacth of 135 Sports which I believe this should be if it is a 99T had 111S wheels.
I wish I could find the guys reply as he answered most of these issues, but in my mind this wont be the best 135 Sport out there. (Lee has the best one

)

Thanks Stewart, that's very useful
Can't tell a great deal from the pictures unfortunately, it has a silver filler cap which would suggest it's not one of the later ones (according to that link) and the steering wheel should be trimmed in red as you say. I enquired as to the reserve, it's 12K apparently...
Cheers,
Jamie

Why buy an 135 with all the tacky red trim when you can have my car with 136bhp and looking cool in stealth mode

I drove gordons car on the previous set of tyres (toyo's) and thought it was a very well sorted car, but nowhere near enough outright grip. After many hours of desperate phone calls from him to me

, he finally got a set of decent tyres (yoko). the car is amazing now. Its definatly faster than the average elise, both in a straight line and through the twisty's.
It'll beat a sport 135 around knockhill. stick a set of sticky yoko's on it and it'll beat most cars round knockhill. (not mine obviously
