Nevermind, Gone for £52

Didn't want to spend too much on a complete unknown.

Don't need one anyway.... :)

Buy suspention and tyres rather that upping the power. If you dont know what your doing or dont have a flow bench you can actually lose power. Suspention, geo and tyres will make the car way faster overall than spending alot of time/effort on budget headwork. The std engine has a good bit torque anyway, so if you get the car to handle and use the torque/extra grip to exit the corners faster you'll find you car easily stay with tuned cars and if you get a good exit even pass them.

Cheers Gordon, you are right of course :) but the plan was to give me something to do with my time rather than spend a fortune on quickly bolted on bits that cost alot and don't take much time! Not really bothered at all if I don't achieve much, but I should stand to learn a fair amount and not spend as much!
(I'm in need of a new job come Nov so I can't keep spending! :( )

I'm a pretty competent bolter-onner and general tinkerer but my knowledge of the finer points of engines is sorely lacking!

I know I should be driving  but I still need something to do!
(At least until the sun comes out!)

Are you time served in Nov?
Will you be staying in Scotland or heading south?

Yep time's up, heading south to Preston. sh*t roads and worse traffic  Boring.

But the g/f has a house down there so I can live on the cheap! And if I can get a job at BAe she will get £2600 for recommending me! (I have claimed half!)

I'm going to miss the roads and the "care in the community" types (You lot!) up here for sure!

Oulton Park is only just down the road and we will have plenty of floor space.....

You'll be back.

Get the g/f to move up here and get a job with BAe in Edinburgh.

Does anyone want anything collecting? I'm going home that weekend and I'll only be 10 miles away. I'll gladly pick anything up and drag it back up, or at least collect it and post it up (I'll be on the train!) I'll be going along just on the off chance of a bargin (Or otherwise!)

I'll take the old man along and try for an OAP discount!
