Doune Hillclimb, SAT,SUN

Post by fd » Fri Apr 18, 2008 1:26 am

Well its the first Doune hillclimb of the year . . . 2 events, one on SAT, one one SUN . . .

Would be great to see some Loti in the carpark . . . Mac and myself will be competing from here, both in class A5 . . . we'll be the ones in monkey suits talking sh1t about the 'hill' like we are abnormal . . . but trust me, when you have done it at speed . . . you will know why ;-)

I'll be there to enjoy myself and try to go as fast as possible . . . and hoping the car doesn't come apart this weekend ;-)

Come and say hello and absorb some speed - it's good for you . . .

I'm hoping to be there on sunday with 2 guys from work. Also hope to try a hillclimb in an elise at some point this year.

Whats the score for food?? Is there catering on site, or bring your own?

As a wee tip, you might want to fill all your jerry cans (and all the cars as well) up this morning. Dont wait until the weekend

Weather is to be splendid this weekend

Would be nice to see a few familar faces before I put myself in hospital trying to drive a road that looks narrower than the car I'm driving

If any of the snappers are in the area I'd really appreciate some photos to go on the soon to be re-launched Macspower website.

Cheers

Shows the hillclimb course. Used to be signed the Doune motor museum, but it's now some antiques place? Canny miss it.

I might show up if it's a nice day - possibly get Elaine along to some real motorsport :)

Last time I was there, we were trying to get the Hoyabusa up the hill after it stripped it's starter gear. Good times 8)

What time do proceedings kick off on Sunday ? I was planning to go along but can't see anything on their web page about start times.

Thinking of popping up today, what time do the hillclimbs start?
