Oh how i laughed.

Remember those almost brand new looking 1144s that were on my car on Sunday Mac ? 70% worn on the front, 80% on the back according to my local Vauxhall (ahem) specialist. Didn't even mention the discs.



Also quite strange considering the last time i had them changed my pads the backs had tonnes left when the fronts were gubbed. My braking style must have changed dramatically

I elevated your status to "lotus specialist" for the purpose of a rant, and surprisingly enough the wear rate was later changed to being "advisory only" and they were only telling me in case i left it another 10k before going near a garage.

Still got a nice discount, some very marginal work carried out under warranty and it flew its MOT so its not all bad

I went over to the world famous "Macs Garage" on Sunday to get him to have a butchers at my brakes before the big service and MOT this week to try an avoid big unpleasant bills. Last time they quoted me £400 plus fitting for OEM pads
