Log in help

Post by mckeann » Tue Feb 28, 2006 5:47 pm

Hi folks. can shug or simon or anybody else slightly technical help me out.

I'm logged in at home just now, and i stay logged in all the time. But at work i have been logged out. I tried various passwords but they all say "no, try again" . so i gave up and had a reactivation sent to my email address. I clicked the link, put in my new password, and it takes me to a new front page, but it still doesnt log me in.

Now, when i come home, i'm still logged in, although presumably my password has changed.

Can someone sort this out, or give me a clue what to do. I'm nightshift tonight, and need something to wittle away 12 hours

thanks

neil

I'm getting the same problem with my desktop at home, it does the same as yours in Firefox but works ok in IE. I'll see if I can figure out what's going on and I'll let you know.

When I had this issue in firefox, it was because it had an expired cookie - try deleting your cookies and doing it again.

Is it Internet Exploder or Firefox you use at work?

If you use the search facility and type in cookies it should come up.

Normally i delete them all so there is no history.
I doubt you would get into trouble for doing it!

Tools>Internet Options>General Tab.

There should be a button to delete cookies half way down the box.

If that don't do it, there may be a security reason, which might cause you work related hassles.....
