EBC pads

Post by simon » Tue Apr 26, 2005 10:30 am

Picked my pads up from Stephen Curle at Stirling services on Sunday (£63 for a full set :thumbsup). Went for a run over Dukes Pass afterwards, a superb road that :)
Would've called you Shug if I'd known we were going there and if I'd known your number!

Anyway, question time:
What's the red stuff on top of the pad surface?
Do I need to take that off or just leave it on?
Should I have put this in Technical?

Red stuff is bedding in coat... Tha's nothing to do with kinky sex involving rainwear, but supposedly gets the pads bedded in quicker.

Remember - let them seat to the shape of the disks and then go through the proper bed in procedure (5-10 stops from ~100tuts to walking pace, as hard as poss, followed by a complete cool down) then they last longer and feel harder...

... matron.
