Me to gf. "Come and hear this. This is without doubt the best sounding car in the world"

Gf stares blankly at screen while i play video

Me to gf. "Gives me butterflies just listening to that."

Gf to me. "Dunno bout butterfiles, Sore ears maybe, definately not butterflies. Is it broken or is that how its meant to sound?"

Me to gf. "No sweetheart, thats how its meant to sound"

Gf to me(trying to pretend she knows about cars). "What, it must have one of them (she's irish) big fancy exhaust thingys on it. Like you've got on the Lotus."

Then toddles off to play with straightners.

My wife loved it! :love

I still don't understand her car taste though. She currently has a Puma but we're on the look out for something new. I was pushing for a Focus ST but she said it looks like the robot from Red Dwarf... :?

I asked her to tell me any cars that she'd been in or saw on the road and liked. The shortlist so far is:

Porshe 911, but has to be the old ones with the big spoilers (964 Turbo!)
Audi TT (I'm trying to put her off)
BMW 3 series (she only likes the M3 though, 330 didn't float her boat)

...and the latest...

Maserati Coupe

Probably end up with a Golf....

Ali - Audi S3. Really impressed with it as a piece of motor. Not the most inspiring steering, but bags of grip 'n go. G/f has one and loves it.

Oh, and horny sounding cars lke the Zonda get her horny 8)

Wicked clip!!! Didnt even ask for her view, as she would have just called me sad!

She wants a new Range Rover, new shape but she did spy a 40k mile one for 25k!!!

Yeah, dream on. She loved her A3 1.8t, leather and bose, bought it without even driving one! Nice first car! And here was me happy with my first car being a Pug 205!

Slighty boring since you can't understand what they're saying but worth it for the in-car footage near the end.
Now that's a lovely noise 8)

After 10 yrs together my wife knows more about cars than most of the blokes at her work.. but then she's has to put up with me and my obsessional habits.. pictures, books, dvd's and a garage (aka workshop) jammed with cars...
Preparing for take-off.. systems check..
