Damn!
I've been rumbled.

Yeah still like to keep in touch with what's happening. Did think about popping up to KH last weekend for a look. I'll probably come down to East Fortune with Andy (AJ) next month for a look.
When I had my S1 I was getting bored driving the same local roads. Also the elise brings out my irrisponsible side when driving on public roads and just like most people nowadays, I can't afford to lose my license. No license = no job = no money for mortgage = no house!
I always fancied taking to the track but didn't want to risk pranging my "uninsured" pride and joy. I nearly did at Crail

Toying with the idea of trying to find a cheap elise in the £6-£8k bracket which I would quite happily track every 4-6 weeks and probably drive less on the roads at the weekend (it was always a 2nd car anyway as I have a repmobile).
Just don't hold your breath on me returning to the fold, not unless you want to sell me your pristine <cough> S2 at a knock down price

Cheers
Stewart
P.S.
Anybody any thoughts on buying an older S1 with perhaps higher milage? I won't touch a insurance w/o repaired car.

It aint so pristine now it has some stone chips!
Your old one is still pretty pristine though

An older S1 should be ok provided it's maintained well enough.

Your old 160 in MMC at the mo? 8K on the clock?
If so, very tidy. For anybody interested (oh, MMC sales chat again) there is a totally mint black S1 S160 on the forecourt for £15oddK. The BEST S1 variant and this one really is a timewarp job.

When I sold it last year I didn't put it on eBay. The guy I bought it from bought it off eBay in April 03 for £16k and sold it to me 4 months later.
Absolutley nothing wrong with it, just that he was a real petrolhead with too much money.

Hi Stewart,
Thats a nice pic, where was it taken? I haven't taken any pics of it yet.
The car is still looking/going well and sailed straight through its mot the other week

It now benefits from a slightly lower S2 suspension kit and stainless flexi/Brooke exhaust ,just need to get a cat pipe now that its mot,d.

Glad to hear that you are still enjoying it. I know that the geometry was needing done so I am sure that it is like a new car with S2 supension. Have you had it on track yet?
