Opinions please?

Heading up to Skye on fri (returning sun morn) but weather forecast looks terrible.
Do I:
1. Take the exige and stop being a big girl?
2. Take the elise and be a bit girly?
3. Take a normal car astra/leon and be safe?

The exige is making me very nervous at the mo with the soap bar tyres and lots of standing water!

And let the slagging commence from the usual suspects!

Get some TOYO'S on the exige and take that

I was up in Skye at the start of September and it was quite slippy in the wet and that was with light rain. I drove back at 6am and had a few moments with standing water on Bridgestones along the Kyle .

I would take the normal car but I am a woose.

You'lll be fine in the Exige! 48's are okay in the wet as long as you go easy

Exige will be fine. My rears were baldy 038s (before I took it off the road) and they work fine until you drive like an idiot.

Just be smoove - plus the Exige is less likely to leak all over you

Hardtop back on the elise so no leaks hopefully !

Personnally I would take the normal/woos/gaylord car but then again I crash everything. as long as you take it easy and drive to the conditions you will be fine whatever you take.

Just like the weather forecast when Skye and I went to Skye earlier this year. At least any of your choices have four wheels, we were on the motorbike and camping. The weather was pretty terrible but it was still a good run.

I'm used to the road to Skye as its a journey I've done quite a lot over the last few years, but the exige is "moving about" a lot of late......no matter how smoothly I drive!

The bggest issue is that the 48's don't shift the water so its aquaplantastic, the elise tyres (still yokos) work much better this time of year!

That reminds me....I need to adjust the window on the elise now the hardtop is back on!

Bank balance dictates that T1R's are not an option!

Hmmm...is it really worth taking a lotus if I have to drive mega slow because of the weather??????? Hmmmm!

Take a normal car, relax and enjoy the trip.

I did quite a few miles today in the diesel mondeo and was very glad that I wasn't in a Lotus. It seemed to be dark by 3 o'clock and the standing water was difficult to see. Usual d1ckheads hooning down the M90 at 90mph when visibility was as bad as fog and grip was extremely reduced.

I think you have already made up your mind and probably quite a safe bet as well

Better to be a big girls blouse and have a relaxing drive and keep the fun cars intact for better weather.

I found some parts of Skye quite slippy in the wet weather on the bike and had a couple of "moments"
