Failing Suspension on the VX

Post by The_Rossatron » Mon Feb 06, 2006 5:02 pm

Lazy has probably read this with interest after his failed. Howcome this only seems to happen on VXs this is the 4th or 5th time I've read about this.

Should it be something to worry about on the Elise/Exige?

Rear suspension failures I've heard about on the Liz amount to the tie-rod. Never heard of it snapping at the shims (if I read it right, that's what the cap-head bolts bolt through).....

Funny stuff - one presumes the upright may be different on the VX if the driveshafts differ at the wheel end, but I don't know - never poked around one.
