In our current nanny state climate I was fortunate to attend the best bonfire night I have been to in years, lots of food, free booze and non stop carnage for about 4 hours.

This is our bonfire from Saturday night.



The fire brigade turned up...



but they were happy that it was under control



It was a proper brilliant night, none of this health and safety crap, rockets were lit with a firework in one hand and a glass of wine in the other seeing as there was copius amounts of free booze.

I dont remember getting home

Good night then ?

Bondies seem to be getting less and less every year.

About to sound old but .... I remeber when it was a big event and people were trusted not to make a complete arse of it.

Top work

Our local one was banned due to 'H&S fears' and protests from religious wackos.

So the council built one and shone some lights on it instead

It was really really good, honest, although my marshmallow is taking ages

it was a very good night

once the fire had died down a bit we could get closer and sit by the fire with a drink in hand

Pallet Express depot up in flames?

Don't know about Health and Safety, I might even get the RSPCA out once they find out I put on a firework display for my Goldfish

The guy setting the fireworks off did look a bit dazed and had a good tan at the end of it all
