FALC : I've got a new phone....

Post by Lazydonkey » Thu Nov 01, 2007 10:35 am

.........and it's cool as fcuk

It's a HTC TyTn II which is bascially a PDA with a phone in it and an upgrade from my SPV M3100.

Spec list is;
- Windows Mobile 6
- 3G
- WiFi
- GPS
- Query keyboard
- 3M auto-focus camera
- Touch screen
- Coffee maker
- Electric Blanket
- Cuddly toy
- Blackberry Tools for WM
- Pocket Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc etc etc

Basically it's the dogs baws and i'm quite excited.

Specs are here is anyone cares
http://www.htc.com/product/03-product_tytn_II.htm

Means no more fiddling with bluetooth GPS modules and I can now attract muggers by walking round town staring at googlemaps / TomTom.

Yes. I'm a loser. 8)
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

Nice spec. Shame it's Windows based and not BSD...

I've just installed a webserver (Apache and PHP) on my Apple iPhone.

I'll see your loser and raise you a geeky loser!

Looks Cool my XDA exec (HTC universal) is due for upgrade and I was looking for something along the same lines. but smaller. it may be worthwhile getting somesort of hardcase as I have claimed on my insurance 4 times, 3 for broken screens and the other time I left it in a taxi.

Got to say that i moved from Symbian to WM a few years ago after being unimpressed by the P990 and i've not looked back. It really is a pretty good OS.

Certainly more impressive than the RIM piece of sh*t i've been given by work.

I've got an MDA, I would be lost without it, it syncs to OL which is imperative for me and ive not found another phone that will allow you to log into your PC at work and do 15 inutes work while standing in the queue for The Rock N Rollercoaster at Disney and Florida! But it is quite frankly the worst phone I have ever owned. I'm now on my 4th as it constantly crashes, sound doesnt work, makes phone calls for you, memory expansion slot keeps failing etc. etc. I'm due for a new PDA based phone soon, so keep me updated as to how it goes.

It's certainly MUCH faster than my M3100 as that used to crash a fair bit - especially running TomTom etc. But i'll play with it a bit and see how i get on. 8)

My last 3 phones have gotten bigger - so much for facking technology - I don't need 50 squillion megapixel cameras tbh :(
