CBA with that forum anymore. Its amazing what happens to rational people once they get a keyboard sometimes. Its quite sad that an enthusuasts forum has become such a 'flame all' chest beaters forum.

Let it be a lesson to us - never let it happen here :D

I would go for a drive but it's really nasty outside at 1:30 am, -1 and foggy. Now I'm getting more confident in the wet, but there's a limit!

(Also bear in mind I'm on nights and finished early!)

Going for a drive in a bit thoough but traffic will be sh*t.

I must admit to finding the Seloc forum tedius in the extreem.
Before I bought my Elise my only view of Lotus owners was on that forum and to be honest it almost put me off.
Thanks once again to jke11y for saving me to this forum.

I wonder if the biggest difference is that on this forum we all stand quite a high chance of meeting up or at least seeing each other (I had been an owner for less than 24 hours before I was spotted by the very same jke11y) which keeps it quite heighbourly.

The Seloc forum is so big and covers such a large area that people can mouth off without running the risk of ever actually meeting their target.

I've not been an engineer for 30 years. but I know a bloody big grin when I feel one!

Its definately easier when you have met / know the folk, things can be taken the wrong way when its a couple of sentences written on a forum - if you get what I mean.

Indeed, this is definately my favourite Elise forum without a doubt!

I used to like the vx forum despite not having a VX but somethings happened to that one too.

Ironically I recall when SELOC started due to frustrations withe BCBBS and now they are no better. Word of caution though many of the chest beaters are on the yahoo mailing list.... worth remembering.
