For a winter hack... nah...
For a trackday shed... yeah... but hard to price with the engine work. You can get boggo 1.9's for £1K or less.
Don't like the red chequers though...
I have no signature.

Apparently the first owner was quite careful, the next 13 were not so careful

When I said winter hack that is kind of what I meant (see posts passim). It looked from teh photos to be well finished inside, and it was the only one I saw last night as I was browsing various places. The 205 GTi forum seems to require me to actually visit their server in person befoire tehy will let mne register and I am buggered if I can find the for sale section...
This one is in Wales but if nothign else it gives me a bench mark for negotiations with my wife

Thinking of it. Using the Liz so much at the mo, it feels daft to have the Merc on the fleet and sit there doing nowt...

bit dear, especially for a 1988 car.
My VTS Saxo (99) was just shy of a grand and (if I hadn't stripped it) would be ideal for the commute - comfy, elec windows etc - and no weight in the tail - ideal for winter!
Mair throttle, less brake
