Woohoo! New job! (FALC)

I handed my notice in yesterday after 5 years at Plusnet... the end of an era!

Off to take on a much riskier but potentially much higher reward role in a newish business. Still flogging broadband, but now with a small start-up targeting a niche of business customers. Blew them away with my understanding of how to build and run an ISP, so got an offer from them straight away.

It might go mammaries-skywards over the next year, or my stake might buy me a nice house and a F430 somewhere down the line.

Either way, there's a hefty salary meantime, so nothing to lose. I should be alright for tyre-money for a while, and Plusnet have said the door is always open if it doesn't work out. Win-win.

Yay!

And capacity for domestic customers at a hugely discounted rate? There might be a few takers on here if there was... ;)

LAN-speed bandwidth up and downstream with 1:1 contention and >99.5% SLA?

Slight overkill for dowloading durty flicks in your bedroom!

BTW, I just read my post again... when I say "hefty salary" I mean compared with what I was earning. Nothing hefty about it in SE2-member terms...

:)
