Think how much a conservatory would cost to heat over the winter . That alone would pay for the insurance for an Elise . You dont get back what you pay for a conservatory , think of the depreciation , you might as well get a car.

So sorry to hear that

what is the point of one anyway ? women have these grand idea's that bunging one on the side of your house will make all mornings warm and sunny where you can munch on your weetabix drinking freshly coffee while reading the papers.

it does not happen, you end up using it for storage. so save the money and buy a shed

Derek told me when I mentioned the "C" word that you can sit and read a paper in your Elise but you can't drive a conservatory! The compromise was the 340R - you get constant sunshine all round and that out door feeling and you can read the paper! :damnfunny

I wouldn't have another conservatory. Paid to get one built at the last house and even with heating it was very cold in the winter.

Summer was too hot even with doors/windows open... which meant we were lucky if we used it for 3 months a year... christ, we get more use from the Elise...

If doing anything like that again, it would be a proper sun room with tiled roof.

I agree. I had a big company fit mine, in our last house. It was a nightmare from the start with them turning up a week late, and the the brickys went down the pub and got piZZZZed in their lunch time. When they put the roof on, it was incorectly fitting, due to the bricky work was too small. They joiners also bult the floor at the wrong level, ans said i had to step up into the C. The bleeding thing leaked, and water ran down the inside walls. Their after sales were unreal, and i felt sick over the stress. I could go on and on. I cant name the company, but they sound like Anglyn windows. So dont deal with them.

In that case.... you are f**ked. Costs more than a conservatory and harder to find arguements against....
