iPod speakers
For those in the know about these matters, I'm looking for a pair of speakers for my nano.
Not too fussed about anything too serious (partly cos I'm a grippy bugger!) but I don't just want a £9.99 pair of yoghurt pots from Tesco.
Any recommendations welcome.

Mair throttle, less brake
If its a portable one try the Philips SBA290. It is brilliant for the cost and very compact, take mine all around the world. It has battery and mains power. Bought mine in Dixons at the airport.

Pile of stuff available - the ones with the iPod dock connector will charge and play.
Personal faves are the JBL Onstage II at £74.99 here:

Bit more money, but the sound is as good as anything costing £120 and it's cash well worth spending IMHO.
We've got a pretty big list of speakers though:

I think they are being canned, IIRC, but we still have 'em here @ £59:tuscan_thunder wrote:Shug,
Do you stock JBL 'Creature' ones or are have they stopped making them?

Great setup if you don't need the 'one box' simplicity (they are satellites with a separate sub) Sound absolutely thumping.

Quite like these myself...one downside, I assume they can't run off batteries eg for picnics etc?! This was one feature I was hoping to find when I settled on Logitech mm50s...which turned out to be faulty so I am back at the drawing board!Shug wrote:Pile of stuff available - the ones with the iPod dock connector will charge and play.

May pop in for an audition some time. Andy and Colin were very helpful to me when the Logitechs turned duff (especially since they didn't even supply them!)

Yup - JBLs actually have internal bass porting - so no room for battery box. Makes a difference, but as you say, limits the usefulness a wee touch.campbell wrote:Quite like these myself...one downside, I assume they can't run off batteries eg for picnics etc?!
