Got an Alpine CD Player in the new Lotus but it doesn't play copied CDs (and practically all my CDs are copied so its no use)..

So going to hit Halfrauds this week and pick a new one up but just wanted to check -

1) do i need to be aware of anything when doing this? far as im aware i just need to disconnect the battery before i take it out and put the new one in so i dont short anything....

2) does anyone want to purchase the Alpine one from me? as i wont need it anymore...

Ta

I have never disconnected the battery and never had any trouble, the alarm will play up if you disconect it. it thinks your stealing the car, only think I can think is the car uses an ISO connector.

The only think I disconect batteries for (cause I'm lazy) is welding batteries/car electrics don't like that :P

if the radio is ISO you won't need another connector the connector in the elise is ISO, at halfrauds it will tell you if it has an ISo connector I can't remember what type of aerial connector the elise has so best just to pop it out in the carpark at the shop

I’ve got a Kenwood CD player spare still with box etc. Was only in the car a year before I put back in the crappy standard stereo when I sold the car. Yours for half the price of a new one if you want…
