Knockhill Legend race cars and single seater

Post by r055 » Mon Sep 24, 2007 2:31 pm

was up at knockers on Saturday doing a Legends driving experience.

really loved the 3 laps I had in the Leon Cupra - nice car, shame i had to hand it back!

Didnt really like the legends TBH - although as Gorrie told me, they are restricted for first timers and once you have done it, you can go back and go on the unrestricted version.
The visibility on them are really poor!

I had a PAX ride in the formula 2/ 3 (?) car but even that wasn't as entertaining as a PAX with McKean.

I'd like to try the unrestricted ones...

They are much much better! :D

You can book on to use them first time you go, as long as you opt for the Legends Unlimited Experience. You get the same morning as r055 experienced, then you stop for some lunch and in the afternoon the 6 Legends cars get the track to themselves for about 15 or so laps with the restrictors taken off. They feel much quicker, rev to 12k rpm or so and you can get them seriously sideways out of the hairpin (and through Clarks). 8)

I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone :thumbsup
