Boot picture required

Post by tut » Fri Sep 21, 2007 1:28 pm

I now have a fibreglass boot on N1 TUT as opposed to the ali one, it has no rubber seals around the clam boot edges, so I wanted to see what was missing.

Would be grateful if anybody could take a couple of pics for me taken from above.

Cheers

Hi Tut, can't help with a photo but there's a soft rubber seal around the back end of the clam and across the boot divider - the 'D' shape that makes the entry into the boot. This'll keep the water out the boot.

There's a harder trim piece around the perimeter of the engine compartment (probably just to protect the raw edge of the fibreglass) goes behing the hinge but, obviously, not across the divider between boot and engine.

You'll probably get away with just the seal around the entry to the boot. Hope this helps.

Mike.

Thanks Paul..If you could post a pic of the other one, then I could cut them out and use them for walking Thor when it is snowing.
