Things like this drive me mental.
He caused £20,000 worth of damage and was ordered to pay the owner £1,000.

Our legal system is a ttl joke, this is a tiny thing which again proves that fact.

Yea why not fine him £1k to owner £20k to insurance company ?so what if he has to pay for it for the next 10 years. maybe it would teach him a lesson.
