Looks a good buy for the £6,500 that it went for.

I don't like the look of that car...

Registered 1st Aug 98 on an S plate. Means it's 1 month older than mine. It shouldn't, as far as I can remember have a metal boot box with the bag. I'm pretty sure by mid 98 you'd get a moulded plastic boot. Also, it's got the early 99 onwards wheels on it.... Just doesn't add up...

I agree with whoever said ebay+cheap=scam. Cheap price, iffy spelling and dodgy english....

agreed though, it's a cheap shed, if you ever actually got it.

Ebay + cheap = scam is total nonsense - my blue S2 which was bargaintastic was on eBay (as well as Pistonheads) and was fine.

Also, im pretty sure there would have been crossover between the model changes (I know my 99 car had a couple of funny bits)

Seems too good to be true really...

Decent milage, hardtop, new tyres... and still only £6500

The late wheels and spoiler being added look odd too, I suppose they may have lived near a scrap yard or something...

Too good to be true usually means it is.

Not liking all these cheap cars, damn residual value will be dropping... ;)

I would bet they would have been offered less than £6k for it at trade; so for them, its a quick sale and a bit more cash in their pocket. Maybe it wasnt that cheap, but other cars up at 9k+ for a std S1 are overpriced....

Looks like its had an off-road adventure. A wee spin which has been sorted out with a repaired rear clam and a set of e-bay wheels. Needn’t be a problem provided it was only clam damage and a bent wheel.

You gets what you pays for.
