halfords oil deal

Post by steve_weegie » Wed Sep 12, 2007 1:57 pm

If anyone is interested, halfords are doing their 5w50 fully synth trackday oil on buy 1 get 1 free at the moment. works out at £3.70 / litre including vat and delivery

The oil is made by comma iirc and while not up to mobil1 / silkolene standards, it's worth a look - especially if you change the oil twice as often!

offer is mail order only unfortunatly

I have used this oil twice now when its been on offer and it seems ok. I change my oil every 6 months or less and it came out almost as golden as it went in
Mrs Lotustype116 reckons I spend more on oil than than I do on her

I have used it for years when the 2 to 1 are on, and it is fine.

I change more often than service intervals, but the engine uses virtually no oil, and barely discolours at all.

 ...when i had the K series tourer...the oil always looked like it was fresh from the bloomin oil wells!!

on the other hand the 2000 mile-old oil in the Exige looks like golden syrup and perfectly edible... :)

Really...?

I used to top up my girlfriends first car with 'whateverwasgoing' including diesel oil. What would be the hard way then?
