just seen a trick exige at golspie sprint
however do you realy need all them horses to win ( with equal drivers )
it looks like the gearing tyres and brakes and light weight plays the biggest part
so will mmc discs be any good ? as two or three laps carnt be too hard on them ?
tryes a good wet/dry alrounder for the wet advantage ? again not being on track too long to over heat
gears ratios hand picked to suit your dyno graph ?
also is launch controll, traction controll and if fitted a full sequentail gear box with full throttle paddle shift allowed ? and any gains to be had ?

Less weight is better...

I'd say MMC's are fine, brakes want to be optimised for feel as they'll be stone cold at the first corner and maybe warm by the end (depending on the event). ABS could be an good advantage, esp in the wet.

Optimum tyres are Yoko A048s, sofest compounds. They'll be better than 'road' tyres in the wet and big advantage even when dry (even when cold).

Gear ratios are important - at Scottish sprint/hillclimbs I doubt an Elise/Exige is ever above 90mph - 3rd gear on standard ratios so scope for optimisation there.

I guess launch, traction are legal in class A8 as long as it's road legal. Not sure about the gains vs £££'s...
Traction is rarely an issue, even in the wet. LSD probably enough.
