Killer Elise sorted...........

Post by tut » Tue Sep 04, 2007 6:20 pm

Changed the rear French tyres for 48R's today, checked the Nitrons to find that the rears were set to 2 from hard one side, 18 from hard the other.

Possibility that this was causing the stability problems on the straight.

Unfortunately these were also the settings that I went through FF6 with, but went for a drive today after leaving Johns, and she felt like an Elise again.

Off to Marks tomorrow for a full geo set up, so that should give better handling on the track.

Need all the help that I can get nowadays...............

From driving it I'll wager the RR was the soft one.
Explains the imbalance I felt at Dijon...instability under braking and maybe your spin on the lefthander...

Ali

Right first time.

Robin

Somebody stiffened up the Nitrons for me at the circuit as I could not turn the rears, but can not remember who it was. In fact I think it was a joint effort, but as usual, I just compensated to make up for the deficiences...........

Stu

I have spare ali bells that I am using at the moment, they will be OK for KH, and as the dishwasher and cooker packed up this week, funds have to go that way.

However if you still want the clamshell, we could do a deal for a pair of fronts.

I'll say!!

I checked the bike shocker (rebound and damping) settings the other day as I thought the front felt a bit wierd. It was one click out from one side to the other. Amazing what a difference that made.

I've had my geometry setup 4 times this year alone. (Ususally after work to the car which knocks it out  )
