Top evening as usual, Andrew hosted another mighty fine Whisky evening...

Contrary to popular belief, there is some education that goes on in the evening (early on it has to be said!) getting to drink whisky you just could not justify buying, wouldn't be sure about buying and knowing what to pay for it!

A civilised start to the evening, having arrived at Warp speed with Big D in his supercharged Lotus, it reminded me that despite not being in ownership, it didn't matter - a great group of people, and you don't have to talk about cars...

A massive thanks to Andy for hosting, Graeme for bringing the biggest cheese board i have seen in my life - which this year got absolutely nailed! (Black Bomber the outright fav!)

Shug - Big D and Clarkie were trying to hang on to your gauntlet for worst hungover and long lie, but neither were a funny shade of grey! Ed, you were also missed, I had to sleep alone... Or between the snoring champs of the world Sanj and Tony (on the floor!)

I overcompensated again this year, didnt drink enough whisky and instead drank too much water!

Dave

Splendid evening at Smees, as always. Good chat with old friends and new, some smashing drams, The Holy Playlist, and enough meat and cheese to keep me going till Christmas. Sadly I went into the evening already knackered, so wasn't the last one standing. Sunday was quite painful, but Tony's coffee and a metric sh*tload of bacon definitely helped. :)

Big huge thanks to Andrew for all the effort. :thumbsup

We had an excellent run up over Glenshee to Andy's with little traffic and great roads. 8)

Excellent night and thanks to Andy for the great hospitality and interesting Whisky histories. I do find it fascinating but just wish I actually liked Whisky. (I think it goes back to a bad experience with Whisky when I was younger and my body is now protecting me from it  )

Thanks Graeme for the Cheeses too, the Black Bomber was lovely. :thumbsup

Thanks to all who came along, great fun and great to see so many loti (and a zenos and graeme's golf) in the driveway.
Great chance for me to taste some of these whiskies as well otherwise difficult to justify opening "investments"!
Thanks to g fire the cheese and sorry istoo didn't make it along, next time I'm sure. Dark origins would have been a nice addition to the line up.

I can order more Scottish Elises Glencairn glasses if there I is enough interest. They'd be about £6 each plus postage. Let me know if anyone would like one and if there is a reasonable order I could get some more as the artwork fee has already been set up.

Anyway, until the next one, happy dramming.
