Pict0242 is fantastic.

Achmelvich section:
Cowboy-Indians great also.
Pict0514 really captures the essence of that fantastic beach. You know, I think I almost found that beach by accident during one hillwalking trip to Ullapool area, during which I went for "a wee drive" in my trusty old Nova SR...probably around 93 or 94. Jings, that was a while back!

And of course that first one was the weekend of the "blue flashy things" in the water!

Road Runs:
KIF 90, 84 and 87 are memory-evoking too.

Any chance I could get hi-res originals of the above shots?

D'y'know, Iain, what I love about your photography is your patience and grit to find that bigger angle...a lot of the best shots you take are from high vantage points, taking in more of the action etc. Very inspiring. Many of the TT02 pics from Glencoe illustrate this really well.

Keep it up.

Tims girlfriend was around for lunch the other day, thankfully a lot better now than when I last saw her.

Any foreseeable future that contains an Elise again?

Sorry for delay in answering but just been so busy the last few day that I have not had much time to read all the stuff on the forum.

Since passing my Early Years & Childcare course I have not been able to find paid positions to suit in with Skye school hours but have managed to sort out voluntary work at my local Nursery which is great as I can choose when and to some degree what I can do. Thoroughly enjoying the work and the staff and kids are great and life is so much better when I don't have the pressure of college exams and assignments. The ONLY drawback is that it is not paid, so owning an Elise in the foreseeable future is not likely.

However I do keep in touch with my ex partner in crime, oops I mean my ex business partner so an Elise is still a possibility

Thanks for feedback on photos. I also came accross Achmelvich by accident around 93-94 when I went camping up the North West Coast with my Ex. A BBQ and laugh around a camp fire beats a pub anyday. Great memories of both Achmelvich trips. The Blue Flashy things were weird though Tut thought we had all just been drinking too much.

Tried to do the same Glencoe Photo stunt on Mexi Towers this year but the road works put paid to that idea.

Many of my photos were actually still taken from Video footage. I used to love trying to get some intersting close up corner action with the different video camera locations at Knockhill. While there are often some excellent off track photos of cars at Knockhill, I miss seeing shots from the thick of the action. Need to get some fresh video camera footage.

Will look out photos that may be of interest to you and send you Hi Res version. Please PM me with details of suitable e-mail address for sending them to or I could pop them on a CD and send them to you.

Cheers Iain

I also couldn't believe how many things we had been involved in from our first meet at a Crail Thrash. robably my most memorable were pax laps around Knockhill in your Purple Mini on the Hot Hatch track day. My sides were so sore from bouncing around inside the mini and laughing so much. Many many great memories and nice to look over the photos and video every now and again. Which remind me that I shall have to try and put some of my video stuff online.

Just read this thread on one of my rare outings onto SE2. I read SE1 every day at work but can't read SE2 (firewall) so come on here when I am on the pooter at home.

Nostalgia is a great thing isn't it. TT 200? following Cambell up the Lecht and missing a deer by inches and then a sublime run up to Tut's after that.

Its weird but even though I don't own an Elise at the mo I still think of myself as an SE-er. I don't know if that is because I count so many here as friends or that other margues' clubs are not a patch on this one. Does it really matter? No. SE (whatever the number) is blummin great :)

Yeah, we had a slow start but the pish started flowing after a few months and now it is indeed thriving.

The last 2 SIDC days have had a strong Lotus presence and I think we outnumbered the scoobies on them both!
