Not one of them but very nice car. Don't you think they are still to be hit with a fair bit of depreciation?

Pick one up for £28k.
Or how about something with slower depreciation.

Oh, in that case, to be avoided!

The price will keep dropping as long as the price of petrol keeps rising ;)

Well, looks like I will have plenty more time to think about it as the person meant to be buying my car never showed up today and as such it is back up for sale.

He has been a nightmare to deal with - which I was a bit shocked by considering how easily others have dealt with him! Never returns calls being his biggest issue. Last week on the phone we arranged to meet today, I said I would call him through the week to finalise everything and tried him everyday since Monday with no reply. He finally answered last night, insisting that he would be there today but no show... Now his phone is just ringing out and it has a foreign tone on it, therefore he must still be in Belgium. All this after he did the same thing last week.

I hate selling privately...

I had the same issue with him, basically sold the car to him and he arranged a day to collect and then never showed, I phoned and emailed and he never got back to me.

Sold it the next weekend however. All the best, I'm sure it'll go in no time.

That is massively annoying.

I hope you got a decent deposit? I can't see why you would mess folk about like that, not cool.

Interesting! Obviously a hit or a miss then.

No he said he would pay me a deposit of £500 via paypal and it never showed... And only spoke to him once since when I didn't get a chance to mention it!

More annoying that I transferred my plate off the car and put it through MMC a few times to get things in perfect condition for him picking it up.

Not cool at all though - a quick call/text to say he has changed his mind would have been enough.

I've got to agree the Aston looks like a winner, if running costs are a concern then why not look at the DB7 possibly a GT model and pocket the excess cash for any niggly problems that you may or even WILL encounter.

DB7s look a little dated IMO, and haven't shaken the 'jag in drag' tag from the fact it was a re-bodied XJS.

However, I'm resigned to the fact its the only Aston I'll ever be able to afford.
