'Eco' and 'sustainability' ticked off in the first minute, we should play Grand Designs bingo, special bonus prize if she is pudden'd by the end of the programme.

And they are going to set it all out with a bit of string in 16 weeks. What can possibly go wrong.

All the bits arrived and seemed to fit. Kevin seemed to forget deriding the string...

Like it from the outside, but maybe more in a office type way.

Inside

I likes it. :thumbsup Staircase is a bit meh, especially for all the effort they put into it.

But did they leave the toilet untiled? Obviously a woman's idea; any man would know the wood would be stained yellow within a month.

I did like that... although, from certain angles, could not help thinking that it looked like porta-cabins stacked up.

So, did they have any privacy in any of the bed rooms?... blinds?

Did any of the windows open?... bet it's cosy in the summer.

Some features were ok, I like the minimalistic timber style when it's done well but it was just a big rectangular fish tank with some nice timber cladding.

I liked the manufactured timber frame, I liked the staircase, although I think I would have put a venier on it. Their furniture didn't go with the style of building. and what's up with Kevin ,has he had the snip ?

Vanquish in the drive points to a lack of eco-bonkerheads this week :thumbsup

Thought this was a new series - all I am seeing is the same bunch of fairy folk building a gang hut out of some trees?

Re: Grand Designs - FREE TICKETS FOR LONDON SHOW THIS WEEKEND

Post by D50 » Wed Apr 29, 2009 9:43 pm

I've been given two complimentary tickets for the Grand Design Show in London's Excel Centre for this coming weekend - if anyone wants them they are up for grabs! Completely free admission as I work for British Gas and we are sponsoring the show.

Drop me a pm and I will either arrange to meet or deliver if local or post next day delivery.
