I can admit to having been on their Yahoo forum for a while

Why does it come as know surprise that you have been a member of some, erm, questionable forums?

Dunno what you mean

Suspect that there are not too many around as very little people wanted a "plush" people carrier.

Very few around, my business partner has one. This effectively put Matra out of business, its the last thing they built. Some really stunning bits of design / engineering in it. simple things seem to get them written off so I would put these in the future classic category!

ISTR even back when I was in the yahoo group, certain parts were getting very scarce/hard to obtain...

Up in Aberdeen this weekend catching up with family/friends and managed to some unusual car spots:
Lanci Fulvia in Banchory
Rover SDi (period brown) in Westhills
Of the more modern variety Sandra did see a new 981 Boxster Spyder.

I saw a fairly bright green Dodge Viper in Dundee on Friday during my morning commute. Looked a bit comical turning up a side street and stopping for a bin lorry...

Parked at the local train station the other week was a little Fiat Barchetta. Or is it a Bruschetta ? In either case it was small, red and Italian.

Did think of one a while back as they were nice and cheap and a little bit quirkier than an MX-5, however it looks like the prices have firmed up by £1-2k

Quite pretty wee cars, but is it not just a fiat bravo or punto under the skin?.. FWD anyways, and only LHD so not much more than a pretty frock IMHO.

I saw my car last week for 3 days without a bash on it! That was properly unusual! It was bashed in December when some git rear ended me, Got it back end of last week, spent 2 days polishing it so it wasn't used and looked as close to new as a 15 year old shed could, first day of use some Git reverses into the front of it and buggers off without leaving a note so once again I have a bashed car

Out walking the dogs tonight and hear an interesting V8 rumble, turn around and see something similar to this:
Uber cool wagon and last time I saw probably saw something like that was watching "The Rockford files" as a kid.

I passed that on Sunday on Sunday morning on the Coupar Angus road, great looking car
The Fiat Barchetta was a Punto HGT underneath. I had one (the Punto that is) I quite liked it in a silly little hatch way, but it was nothing all that special to drive.

That is an over weight, yank tank, with fake wood stuck on the sides and probably has something like a seven litre engine producing 40BHP. Yet I am strangely drawn to it...
