Back on topic, is the 1 series still as crap for rear space?

Hot hatch may be on my agenda...

Less space than in the back of my 3 door civic but it's not terrible.
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

I know

But it ain't for me, thinking of a less bonkers alternative, plus my missus doesn't need a 315bhp RWD car to slither about in the ice :D

Been watching vids of the 135.
Sounds fantastic. No doubt engine and g/b are superb but....it's just too ugly/boring.
Pity.

So just like a Mercedes C Class estate then.... :blackeye

The under the radar nature of this car is the appeal for me. It's what makes me overlook the slight shortcomings in the cars dynamics, mainly the lack of locking diff. If it had big phat 20" rims, big skirts 'n' whale tale spoiler, exhaust you could stick your head inside, alcantara covered bucket seats and only came in lime green or orange then it wouldn't be quite such an attractive ownership proposition, would it ?

Well not for me anyway. But I'm old and have grey hair.
