Take 1

Housebuilder: Would you like to do some voluntary work building me a house?

Random: No, f**k off.

Take 2

Smug eco warrior housebuilder: Would you like to do some voluntary work building me an ethnocentric, carbon neutral, peace house?

Random sandal wearer: Will there be lentils?

Smug eco warrior housebuilder: All you can eat

Random sandal wearer: Great, I'll bring a dozen others who don't wash either

As young Paine has just commented, they have done a decent job! Lets look at the costs...

12k in 2000 for the sizeable plot of land
lets say as they went over their 75k budget they spent 100k on the build...

It has the gite on the land as well for visitors, they have for under 150k even after landscaping got a cracking property!!!

However, a lot of rough edges, not exactly luxury, but a good job done!

As for her bush and pits, her voice pissed me off more!!!! :P

Am I missing something?...

They were using tyres & mud, so could build any shape?, So (apart from the rotunda) the built a rectangle box!?!

Second point,... how does the mud & tyres keep damp out? :?

That would be the rotunda that 'got lost' in the rest of the build and apart from the roof totally lost its shape and looked flat from the ootside - I didn't get it either. :?

Missed whatever was on last night, but tonight's was good, fairly unremarkable design, but at the same time, I wouldn't say no, think there were some really nice touches, and hey, on his own land in the farm!

As for Lydia, or whatever her name was, I see Kev left well alone, as no sign of pregnancy this time!

Just wait for the 'Grand Deisgns Revisited' show  ... he maybe wired in at the other end of the filming this time.

I liked the farm house. As you say some nice touches. I was a bit concerned when their 'arty' mates were commissioned, but their stuff was cool.

Looked like a scaled down version of Glasgow Audi, without cars but in a field.

I liked it- not you typical farm house and the quality of finish looked superb.

Like Dom the arty types had me wondering what they would end up with but their work was excellent - but £40k for the stairs was  . Sure they could have achieved the same effects for much less.
