I was a touch jealous seeing your Strava activities coming through from your trip. How did you find your brakes when you were touching 63mph?
Steve. Ps your Stelvio descent is not working on YouTube.
Cheers Steve, bikewise we hired Dogma F8's from the hotel we stayed at and being European the brakes were arse about face so kept you on your toes
I have uploaded a 2nd version of the Stelvio descent as my original fell foul of the Copyright police lol
Watch on YouTube
On the euro brakes - I found this out in spain last year

took me all week to get my head around them then It was time to come home and ride my own bike lol

not updated the thread for a few months, whilst winter looms and indian summer is upon uis the choice of two and four wheels i find more and more painful.
However impending house move means i FINALLY have a garage i can actually put a car into, so i wonder, will the elise get used more? or less...
so the question is. If your elise is on the drive do you walk out the door and think, yup its going out today, or if its it the garage, do you remember its there!

I've got an old SL merc and the only time I've seen it in the last 6 months is when I'm in and out the garage getting my mtb out.

I've cycled thousands more miles than the Elise has been driven in the last 10 years, doesn't mean I dont want to keep it though, some day I may not be able to cycle as much. Then again getting in and out of the Elise will probably become less likely before the cycling has to stop.
PS.
Anyone doing the Etape Royale this weekend ?. Hoping for weather like last year.

Have barely cycled this year. Checked last night after a short pedal, I'm at 500 miles for the year so far.

I cannot manage it, but I have not been on my bike in the past few weeks for various reasons. My Strava profile has been embarrassing so I am away to head out tonight to blast off the cobwebs and flush out the Jaegerbombs from Saturday night.

Never signed up for etape royale this year, recommend not drinking half a bottle of rum in campsite the night before...
Did ride the north a few weeks ago and extended the mileage to cycle to my folks with bigger all training prior. Longest ride to date so quite happy but was very knackered.
Woody I think also did it last year?

yeah saw it at the weekend, awesome, trust me the go pro makes this looks flatter and wider than it really is.
Track built in Wales by Dan Atherton, brother of World Cup racers Rachael and Gee. the aim is to push Downhilling to the limit of what is capable. The first year it ran just looked nuts... and they keep adding more to it. Seeing the top butters crash out shows how hard it is.
wait until the red bull rampage on 14th October, also f**king bonkers.

if you haven't seen it...

If only you has asked, ciclomontana is by far the superior guide of the Seirra Nevadas.
That said, i have been three times and would go back in a heart bike, amazing riding...
So, sweepstake, for how many hours you last before the air ambulance comes to get you? i say.. 4hrs will but a £5 on it.
Is it just the two of you on the stagger?
