My S1 is Calypso Red with Gold Technomag. wheels, they came in this colour purchased by the previous owner and I have thought many times about changing the colour to silver, white !, anthracite and black but never got my finger out to actually go out and get them done.

I'm unsure wither I would loose the in your face factor if I change them from gold, gold wheels on the red is a unique choice.

Me like black ones :D perhaps because my little silver ones is needin refurb. It could be because i used to spend HRS  cleaning alloys on my other cars just to see then dirty driving 4 mins to garage for petrol :rage

but i do kinda have a soft spot for the little silver S1s wot i got.

When I had my S1 (silver like yours Mrpunch) I had the wheels refurbed black, and it looked awesome. Black has the benefit of hiding dust and dirt also.

The place that did mine was in the industrial estate next to Harry Ramsdens under the Kingston Bridge. I just put the car up on axle stands, took the wheels to them, then picked them up after work the same day. Job done. £150 incl valves and taking off / putting on tyres + balance.

sounds good.

JJ, what size of wheels did you have on the rear of the S1?
In that photo they look quite narrow

They were std late S1 wheels, but they had the wrong sized tyres on till I changed them for T1Rs all round (2weeks before trading it in, DOH!)

JJ were they gloss or satin? They look gloss but it could be the light.

They were meant to be matt, but were a sort of shiny matt in the end. They are the same as the factory finish on the exige pretty much.

It will be difficult to get into at first, but once you get used to the size of it, it will be much easier.
