You mean 616 is too much, I'd probably agree, 450 would be plenty, but then it wouldn't be in the supercar category, so they have to compete. The power isn't the impressive bit though, it's the suspension, F1 active ride on a road car.
Re: new problem child
Quite right - apparently 50 is the new 40, so I still have time to have one .... though Katie says I am not allowedruadh08 wrote:Kerry, a gentleman can never have too many mid life crisis's.

Re: new problem child
So this weekend I've traded down to 130hp diesel, but still fun driving a motorhome briskly. Made it to Kinlochewe tonight - ok in the metal shed, but midges are bad, so not one for the tents. While sitting here with no phone, no tv, I started sorting out pictures on the laptop. Unbelievably the macbook logged itself into someones BT wifi, so here is a pic from my first trip west, Ben Nevis is in the background. sun is going down and we are just waiting for the traffic to calm down before heading off.

Re: new problem child
Sharks gills.
You have enough power Kerry when it is more than you can safely use on the road. You have enough speed when it is more than you are ever going to reach on the road. Track is different, you always want more.

Re: new problem child
Those gills hide radiators big enough to hang in the living room. They call them turning vanes, I think that is to turn the air onto the rads rather than help the car turn. The airgap could have been designed by lotus, it's protected with chicken mesh, but the holes are way to big, so plenty stones get through. I'll have to quiz the garage if there way to clean it all out.
Re: new problem child
First pic's a classic, Kerry. Glen Nevis, I take it?
Lots of scope for future shoots, the gunmetal metallic can be very chameleon. Would have had to be orange for me. Midlife Crisis Spec, natch.

Are they all convertible?
I didn't realise that, it just looks astonishing.

Different models pete, Coupe and Spider. When this came out I thought it was just about the best colour I had seen and would love to see an Elise in it. Like Inferno only more so.

Ooo that's nice.
It looked like there was a line across the windscreen top and then at the back too so I wondered.

Re: new problem child
Correct, a rollercoaster of a road! Used to be a great evening drive when we had the caravan in Glen Nevis. Despite driving it hundreds of times, and taking many car pictures in the valley, I'd never stopped at that spot before. Just lucky with the late evening light.campbell wrote:First pic's a classic, Kerry. Glen Nevis, I take it?

I friend of mine has a 650S in that colour - I wasn't sold on it when he sent pictures, but in the flesh is amazing.

Cracking choice, much respect!

Stunning car Kerry

It was a toss up between a used 12C or a new Vantage last year and the Vantage won.. for now

Enjoy!

Re: new problem child
I'm obviously biased now, but have to say it's fantastic. The initial reviews weren't to favourable, but they've made great effort to react to the concerns and have backdated all the upgrades. I certainly can't fault it, very useable and covers the ground well.
I thought about a Vantage a while ago after getting a shot of one as part of a track training event. Love the shape and the engine, just a bit too practical, I'd end up driving it every day.
