Absolute comedy gold!

So I have said something you don't agree with and the pair of you are seething. For the record I said "GIRUY socialist bed-wetters", not really name calling hysterical rant, it was intended more of a haha than a direct insult but feel free to take it as such. This pleases me. Hardly the worst insult in the world though is it? Nice one on the 'abuse' card, well played.

Pete and Robin, you might not like it or agree but a lot of people on this forum will share my views. You two have contributed greatly in making SE a rather unpleasant place to visit.

Before you both have another meltdown I would just like to say that the amount of politics and the 'agree with me or else' attitude from some has driven me away from what used to be a really friendly forum. I would be all in favour of getting the political chat to buggery altogether and get back to arguing about why an S2 is far superior to an S1.

Not been able to make any contribution so far as Sky cut off my Internet and phone when we left TT, and I do not get it back until Tuesday at Tut End.

Getting settled in, but the removal did not go as planned. The seller was having all his stuff stored whilst he goes to Spain to marry his 27 year old Philippino girlfriend, he is 68 and this will be his 5th wife, he has also just had an operation on his leg and is hobbling around, so we are letting him stay on until Monday when he is driving down to Devon, very generous of us especially as we do not own the house yet(how are those bloody Solicitors getting on Don). Nice bloke but a complete control freak with OCD and a devout Christian who feels sorry for me being a heathen. We are both using the same Removal Company, but when our stuff was packed away on Thursday in his big van, there was still enough left over to fill his smaller one twice over that he had to bring along. He then found out that the big one could not manage a bend just short of the house, so had to take it back to Buckie overnight, then split it the next day into two lots to fill the smaller van.

He was at the house when we got there midday on Friday, but the seller had not packed half his stuff, so ours had to come out in stages whilst his went in. Van was too small to fit it all in, so Ross went off again to Buckie to return on Monday with the rest of ours in two loads, and the final load of David's. Then on Tuesday he has to return to Old Deer to pick up the final pieces from TT. It was obvious to us that it all would not fit in his 18 tonner, but he is the expert. Fortunately he is very laid back and we get on well and has taken it in his stride. This despite that he lost his HGV licence on Saturday night for six weeks for traffic offences, and his big van has been taken off the road for eight weeks as punishment for two overloading offences. Does not affect us as he did not lose his driving licence so can drive his 7.5 tonner. He is also using a crew of five so not skimping there. However he is 25% the price of Pickfords and Shore Porters and was recommended by two friends on here.

Be glad to get the house to ourselves after Monday, he has a tom cat and a small GSD bitch that Khan just LUVS, and we have our own cat that we have to keep separate, but that will change. The dogs love the place, 12 acres to run around in, seems that we let two of the fields for sheep and two horses, Khan has made friends with the horses, but we will end the deal with the farmer, sheep are lambing and he would shoot them if they got in.

Part two of the Tut End moving in story will follow later.

As for the Election, I have voted for three of the party's over the years, never Labour, but I am really a Tory voter so voted SNP tactically to get Labour out of Scotland and it seems to have worked. Happy to see them back in and on their own even with a small majority, they may not be perfect but they got the Country back on their feet after the meltdown, the Economy is recovering, most businesses are breathing a sigh of relief, my family is doing very nicely thank you, and to me it makes sense for Cameron to carry it on for a further five years as opposed to the chance of Labour breaking it up and doing their own thing. They sure as hell made a mess of it last time. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Sad to see the relationship between pete/Robin and Kenny break down, tis not worth it, surely we can all have our own opinions without trying to force them on others? Is that not the definition of a Democracy? Labour and Conservative are the only two Parties that can run the Country so your choice is between them, neither is ideal, but I think there would be a majority in favour of Cameron as PM as opposed to Miliband, it would seem that many of his own Party have no faith in him and blame him for the meltdown. I have no pleasure in seeing the Liberals (decimated), they were mere puppets in the Coalition, everybody blames them for their back down on tuition fees but they had no choice, Cameron over ruled so it was back down or retire.

Tapping out this in a little cafe in Cullen, wifi access and a great brunch of pancakes, bacon, maple syrup, eggs, and excellent coffee whilst the vodka and gin freeze at home in the plugged in freezer.

Back to normal soon.

For the record you said:
I would just like to offer a hearty and sincere Get-It-Right-F***ing-Up-You to all the socialist bed wetters on here who will be currently having a bit of a meltdown over this.
(My emphasis)

I apologise for spoiling SE for you - it certainly has never been my intent to do so - and until this moment I thought we were friends (and rather hope we still are!).

Sure is Campbell, but you know me, never start a new thread when an old one will do. :D

Last half of it was in fact on the Election, and an attempt to damp down the flames.

Yep, that's what I wrote. It was a post aimed at getting a rise and it worked. Hook, line, sinker, copy of angling weekly.

But seriously it was a pretty tame insult, bed-wetter, come on! If the worst thing to happen to you in recent times then you're doing ok. You could have just came back with some banter or call me a bellend and tell me to piss off, it would have been shrugged off, instead I got a slightly sanctimonious holier than thou reply that's all to depressingly familiar on politics threads and starting to wear a bit thin.

Anyway as far as I am concerned we're all friends.

I'll even buy you and Pete some new bedsheets.

Hate to seem to take sides on a seemingly sensitive subject but, kenny, I found that highly amusing.

What does it mean for Scotland? Bugger all. we will continue as normal but with an economy in the hands of people less inclined to rack up a trillion pound of debt.

As we know, you're effectively the anti-christ in Nat vernaculer..

I actually love telling friends I mostly associate with Tory policies, and you can see them going slightly frothy-mouthed in the way they venomously project the word "Tory!!". It's almost like a tick. In actual fact, I think it is.

My Father-in-Law is firmly in this category.

A little bit of spit comes out every time he mentions the "T" word.

Currently offshore, but managed to have a minor ding-dong via the wonders of Whatsapp with my darling wife, who called me an "arse" for voting for the opposition....and that she preferred when I didn't vote

I just reminded her that we actually do live in a democracy, followed by a "luv yoooo!"
